Props to Cain. A true champion. No excuses.

Props to Werdum defying the odds again. He's truly earned himself a spot in heavyweight history beating the other 3 guys who could be in consideration for GOAT HW (Fedor, Big Nog and Cain).

Stop with this nonsense Cain wasn't 100%. He had 2 freaking years to get at a 100%. Stop making excuses for him, when in actuality it was Fabricio Werdum who exposed a hole in his game and exploited it. Most people say Cain's main strength is his incessant pace and cardio. Yet they're missing one key factor of his game. Ground and Pound. All of his victories have included leaning on, hitting, and wearing down his opponents with GnP. Last night, he decided not to engage in GnP because he was facing a BJJ specialist. So instead he traded blows with Werdum and LOST on most of the exchanges from midpoint of the 1st round onward. Yes the altitude played a part in the fight but I challenge you to go anywhere on this earth and taking the beating Cain took and see how long you last. Both are great fighters, but the better man won tonight. Cain didn't beat himself, Werdum beat him.

And the excuses are coming out. Striking wise werdum was much better even if Cain wasn't so exhausted he's still lose.

It's just tough being Champion and defending over and over when new fight plans keep coming your way. You're the target and you have to deal with new and innovative game plans just like a Super Bowl Champion the following season.

Cain will learn as he always does and rise above it once again as he always does. Just needs to study the film and train for that to add it to his skillset.
