Venus is true role model, and a great Tennis legend in her own Right. I still would like to see her win a grandslam before she lays Down the racquet. I recall when she played Henin in 2007 at the U.S. Open in the semifinal match, I was so so hoping for her to win That one. It was during this time her resurgence to the game was Evident. I feel that once her mark is finally left to the sport she will Go down as one of the greatest in the open era!
What a beautiful athlete, Venice and her sister Serena are absolute role models of women who have battled with very humble beginings…faith, dedication, humility and hard work pays off. How inspiring for us all, whether player or audience.
It feels like Venus is about to retire. I hope not, but her tone and reflections of the past seem to suggest that she is about to lay down her racket.
