Ryu doesn't have a killing problem as that player didn't really know how to kill with Ryu properly.
F-smash, up-B, B-air, and F-air would I think be his kill moves. There might be one more I forgot. Also if you use the original Street Fighter input on his Up-B it becomes stronger and kills earlier.

I MAINED Ness, but Lucas is now 1000x better than Ness. I now main Lucas. Lucas is high tier with Ness. Ryu and Roy are
    mid.

But I find Lucas's Rope snake short in MANY situations, and I get punished.

And don't ALWAYS use the Up Smash because you will be EASILY punished, like you did in the 2nd Ryu fight. And doing grab combos, don't end with a thunder. You will also PROBABLY get punished. Only use PK Freeze when someone is off the ledge for a good freeze spike. Other than that, doing great! :)

P.S. I know alot about Lucas because I mained him in Brawl. I'm not a know-it-all.

I also use the alternate of lucas with the baby dino from the beginning of Mother 3

Guys Etika, ZeRo, Shofu, ALL think Ryu is the best character, at least S. He is a medium weight, and has over 5 kill moves. Dair, Fair, Flaming Hadocens, Powered Suruken, F smash, U smash, and last but not least his powered tornado kick. He is field day for competetive players, he has 2 final smashes, and do you see his combos?! And plus !!!NEWCOMER!!!

Ryu is no problem for me because I main him in SSF4U, I still have to get use to the fact that playing A Street Fighter character in a perspective other than Street Fighter is something you have to get use to. But its Smash so you get what you pay for. You have to convert your playstyle into this. Street Fighter is played with 2 HP Bars , a flat stage with boundaries so you can't walk off, a meter for supers, exs, ultras, and stuns, and also a timer. It also has VERY precise input commands (Hadouken isn't that precise, it's just QC+(P) light punch or heavy punch). This game (in a competitive standpoint) has 2 lifes, percentage that increases for increased knockback, sandbox combos, hidden tech, the fact you can die by jumping off the stage, having to recover from said mistake, walljumping, all kinds of the things a person who played a good Ryu in SF has to get use to. Going back to my first statement though, I can kick some ass with my carried over Ryu knowledge ;p

I think Ryu's killing problem is based on the fact that in his original game, he didnt have to send opponents flying. It's quite clever, if intentional. Anyways, he might be OP in doubles, if he can rack up damage, let someone else kill.

Ace, it should go without saying that ryu doesn't have a killing problem. Its just that the guy (even though he was pretty good) wasn't using the killing options as much

Ace, why do you hate me?
    You use Lucina in undefeatables
You use Dr. Mario in undefeatables
    You use Lucas in undefeatables
You will eventually do a Roy undefeatable, I suspect
So why no Dark Pit? Why do you forsaken me so

"Ness is cheap!"…lol definitely heard that before.
Lucas: Way better recovery, more practical smash attacks, better neutral B.
Ness: Way more kill options (backthrow, PK Thunder2 ftw), better aerials(except for Dair) and better combos.
Still would pick Ness over Lucas any day IMO

Ace, I really wouldn't mind not seeing a Ryu undefeatable for around a week. I'd rather have him live the first episode- Ryu is hard at.

Hey Ace, I'm not sure if you did this, since I'm commenting in the first match, but down tilt true combos into jab.
