King's Quest,Morrowind/Oblivion, StarCraft,Diablo/Diablo II,GoldenEye 007 (proved that FPS is viable on consoles). There's a ton of important/influence games that could be added.

Some games that I think should get in (no order):

    Final Fantasy
    Street Fighter
    Sonic The Hedgehog
    Dragon Quest
    The Sims
    Shenmue
    Shin Megami Tensei
    Castlevania
    Metal Slug
    Contra
    King of Fighters
    Golden Eye
    Xenogears

I feel as though these all had some contributions to gaming as a whole.

A Hall of Fame for gaming should cover more than just the 1980's to the late 90's. Where's stuff like Super Mario Galaxy, Fallout 3, Resident Evil 4, Bioshock/Bioshock Infinite, Metroid Prime, Halo, Assassin's Creed, Red Dead Redemption, and so on? There's so many games that'll be overlooked just because they're not old. Trust me, time has not been kind to something like the original Metroid.

    Final Fantasy VII (duh)
Final Fantasy X cheers. One of the top Ten rpg classics ever!

Dragon Age: Origins and Inquisition (I know Inquisition is barely a year old and it's too early to induct it into video game hall of fame but the game is so good. Plot-wise it is a master piece. Character wise— it is insanely good and touching variety in cast of characters. As for the many other reasons it rocks. Romance (straight, bi, and gay) they are ok too. But mostly I play for the story.

Fire Emblem Sword of Flame/Rekka no Ken. (Eliwood, Hector, Lyndis, Nils and Ninian.)

Star Fox, LoZ Ocarina of Time, Wind Waker, Twilight Princess.

Star Ocean, Till The End of Time.
1080 Avalanche, Wave Race: Blue Storm (game cube games…great memories).

    RE 1,2,3, and 4.

DMC Trilogy with Classic Dante, including DMC4 with Nero.

Megaman Battle Network 3: Blue Version. And Megaman Zero 3.

    Castlevania: Aria of Sorrows.

    Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2.
    FFVII Crisis Core.

    Dissidia Final Fantasy and Duodecim.

Telltale's The Walking Dead game Season 1 and 2.
    The Wolf Among Us.
    Mass Effect Trilogy.
    Borderlands 2.
God of War series. Especially Chains of Olympus(to me at least, that was a phenomenal game.)
GoW is brutal, angsty and gory. That could work too.

Uncharted Trilogy. Infamous series. Especially Infamous 2.
Sly Cooper trilogy and Jak and Daxter Trilogy.

    Parasite Eve and Third Birthday.
    Phantasy Star Online C.A.R.D. Revolution.

Man there is so many more games too mention and choose from but the ones I've mentioned before are from the top of my head and personal experiences.
    Others game videos.

.hack//IMOQ aka Infection, Mutation, Outbreak and Quarantine. .hack// G.U. Trilogy.

    Assassins's Creed 2 and Brotherhood.
    Beyond Good and Evil.
    Heavy Rain.
Beyond Two Souls ( Aidan and Jodie's ghostly/otherworldly sibling relationship made me cry.)

So many more games. It's so hard to choose.
