What a lie! I live in the Dominican Republic and am proud to say i have a LOT of Haitian friends, to me they are just normal people, and 98% of us dominicans feel that way.

But what they dont tell you is that the hanging of the Haitian men, that actually was 2 blocks away from my house was done by two other haitian guys just to steal some lottery ticket.

Why dont they tell how constantly Haitians burn our flag, and come over this side of the island just to commit crimes and ask for money on the streets, its hard to say but thats what most of them do.

Im not saying some of us are racist, in fact every nation is narcissistic, but this guys took it out of context. Just because Trujillo the dictator was delirious about wanting a white colored country doesnt mean 50 years later is still the same! Tell the truth TestTube!

Half of this is correct but is not as racial as it they show it. Dominicans are just trying to control the immigration problem as much as the US with Mexico does. Is there a good way of doing it? every country in the world deports and imports immigrants but when Dominicans do it is "racist".

What Dominicans don't was is a unification of the island that the Haitian government is promoting. Dominicans don't want the "Haitian problem" when they have to deal with their own. And the linching is a common practice in small isolated towns through out the world when there's a lack of police and infrastructure. There are plenty of videos on YT with the people taking justice in their hands.

This title is misleading and complete BS

Why England, Scotland and Wales hate each other (don't know if N. Ireland hates the rest of us)

    Let the flame war commence.

Some facts here are wrong… Dominican mountains make the agriculture difficult in Haiti really? How about mentioning that the Haitians cutoff almost 80% of their Forrest to make Charcoalstarting back in the late 50s while the Dominican Republic has strong laws against cutting trees. Another factor is the religion that a big part of the population practice (Voodoo) have people wander why most of the disasters that happened in that tiny little island tend to happen on Haiti soil? is it just coincidence? A lot of people who haven't been there blame most of the problems between the two Countries on racism, I don't see Jamaica having the same issues and they are as black as the Haitians but the difference between the two countries are huge…

    Umm..WTF
Corrections: I'm Dominican myself and some of the things mentioned here are complete utter bs. We don't hate Haitians, and if some us do, just gotta take a look at our history! They started in the early 1800's to massacre and oppress our people, then we became free, and more prosperous over the time… Now they're the world's #1 shithole! and want to grab us all in the other side of the island to their misery… We helped them through history even after what occurred, all the way to present times (such as the haiti Earthquake, building them schools letting them cross the border to trade goods etc.).. Racism?? n.. please, back in Haiti's independence, who were the ones that murdered thousands of innocent white French children and women?, and even by the Haitian's themselves in their occupation of Dominican Republic decades later, around 10,000 predominantly European Dominicans were brutally raped and murdered just to purposefully cleans the island of the remaining "whiteness" and make it a "black" island/ nation completely , whom are the real racists NOW!?…Test Tube went tooo far .. The agenda is more clear then ever.

Because Haiti is a shithole and Haitians destroyed their own country (physically & economically) and are actively working to destroy DR.

I think there's a huge problem with racism in D.R. Coming from a Dominican family. My father being born in north western part of the country always considers himself ''white'' even though i'm 100% certain that his family has a lot of African roots.

I'm guessing he tried so hard to be white that he married my mom which is pretty much white Dominican.

Black guy being racist to Black guy because they aren't white…

Jesus this is the same thing with Philippines and how we culturally make fun of Brown skin complexion… even though we're fucking brown!

This is Spain's fault, it handled both countries… seriously Spain and your fawking white wash.

Haha Dominicans are mostly black and mulatto. They're like the blackest Latin American country country after Haiti. They're closer to Haitians and Africans than to Europeans. The DR never received lots of European immigration. There was once 12 blacks for every one white person. FACT. No need to hate your black side.

Ungrateful Haitians when will you learn?
    1) Build you school and universities.
    2) create programs to re- construct your shithole capital after the earthquake.
    3) sent trucks, rescue dogs and doctors after the event.
    4) and most important our economy feeds your families back in Haiti…

France should be 100% responsible for Haiti and unfortunately letting this low IQ slaves create a country and flood ours with more poverty then what we already got. France I demand some action fuck sakes.

As a Dominican, I can confirm the issue is not of racism. It's a fatal oversimplification of a problem rooted in history, religion, economy, politics, language, culture, demographics and yes, also race.

Furthermore, the title is very biased. Dominican Republic doesn't hate Haiti any more than Haiti hates the Dominican Republic. For instance, a Dominican moving to Haiti has even less rights and faces more discrimination than an Haitian moving to the Dominican Republic. Also, the Haitian constitution, until just a few decades ago, stated the the island of Hispaniola is "one and indivisible" under Haiti, and the sentiment is still present in Haitian consciousness.

Im pretty sure that you have never walk on the street of the Dominican Republic and seen how many haitians are freely living in the DR!! Even the haitian that i know say that they feel safer in the DR than in Haiti. They can go to hospital an school for free and nobody ask them for papers!

You should have done more research before you upload that video.

This is not more than the product of racism and colonialism! Blacks on one side speaking Spanish and the other French/kreyol! Both taught self hate by their white slave masters which still carries on till this day!
