The book was good if you can overlook all the 'social and environmental engineering agenda' rants. They got a bit tiring after the first few. Hopefully the movie skipped these sermons, but I doubt it.
They had BETTER put the scene in at the beginning where Katz comes up the trail "Wild-haired and one-shoe'd" after throwing away all the pots and pans and other "Heavy fuc#in' sh|t!" out of his back pack…. but saved the bag of snickers bars.
This looks awesome and I love everyone they've cast, but having read the book, I always pictured Rob McElhenney playing Bill Bryson and maybe Seth Rogen cast as Katz. If Chris Farley was still with us, he'd have made the perfect Katz! I dunno — to me the characters should be in their mid-to-late 30s or early 40s to stay true to the source material … Ooh — you know who'd be good, too? Luke Wilson as Bryson and Rory McCann as Katz!
So excited for Bill Bryson's amazing book to come to life on the big screen: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nx1AMfC-F2g
Yesah! This reminds me of my adventure with Pennsylvania Shane last weekend

no one is there to tell younot to quit their is light behind the mountain lets go
This trailer was super lame, the way they turned every piece of dialogue into a punchline. But the movie itself doesn't look too bad.
Everybody picks on me . Great job gentlemen .
