Common man. Yea what he did was a clumsy way saying that its just a word its us that gives it power but you are an affiliate of TYT one of the kings of clickbait look at me articles on youtube. First take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye.
Anyone offended that Obama said that is a total pussy. What's more offensive: using a bad word in a casual, non-racist context or actual fucking racism?
I cant see any reason the anchor should not have done that, for one he is black and thus cant be accused of being racist anyway, as that would be nonsensical. And besides its just a shock tactic, by doing it CNN are drawing interest and nothing has the potential to boost ratings as much as controversy can. Also since they are doing a segment on a controversy why not also show it, it makes perfect freaking sense actually.
There is context behind this. Prior to this, he had gotten into an on air argument with a cohost about whether or not they were allowed to say it in an appropriate context (in that case, quoting Obama). It was a kind of a 'fear of the word' thing ~ reminds me of Harry Potter and the word Voldemort a bit :/
He got into an Argument with another anchor at CNN earlier that week and he was talking about if you use that word in context it's not racist it's just a quote and he was basically telling her to fuck herself hear
Dont agree for once. It 'is' currently a hot topic and starting off with some shock can make people stick around for the segment.
Not that I think it was well done, the guy cant bring 'shocking', he has to be on foxnews and wearing a blonde wig for that.
But I dont think its bad perse to bring the flag or the 'n-word' (using this here because its your channel, I got no problems with the word myself). Its good that we look at old standards and see if they are still relevant.
The flag standing for oppression? Sure. Should american states still fly it? Nope, sure seems very unamerican to me. You want things to not be america, youre basically saying with it. But some random dude in the sticks that waves it because they dont have a fucking clue what that time was like? Gives a fun reason to point and laugh at them.
The n-word is just stupid. You're saying 'nigger' without saying it. Its similar to me as someone going 'darn' while meaning goddammit, but think that not saying it keeps god happy. Its silly. Its just a word. Sure it stands for oppression of black people. So what? By allowing it to be said the novelty wears out and people will eventually move on to the next word thats triggering.
You cant ban words. You might refrain from not stating them yourself, but dont go around making up rules that seems to avoid saying it, without actually avoid saying it. Thats just silly
He was talking about the word itself, how is that offensive?
"Hi, I'm Don Lemon! And welcome to Jackass!"

But I thought Don Lemon's little skit was silly.

what's the point of attacking him if he has an interesting point?
Tonight on CNN "Which is harder: my dick on viagra, or the night after taco Tuesday?"
Why the fuck are you in the dark, Kyle? You're videos have been like this for a few weeks now.

why does the janitor have to be black Kyle?
I have nothing against Don Lemon, but goddamn he's a fucking idiot. Really attention seeking as well.

Secular Talk logic:
Liberal President Barrack Obama says the n-word: NOTHING TO SEE HERE FUCK YOU IF YOU ARE OFFENDED!!!
Moderate Don Lemmon holds up a sign with the n-word on it: FUCK YOU YOU RIGHT WING DOUCHEBAG!!!!!!!!
Why not say "nigger" or "nigga"? It's all about context.
Don Lemon being a paid journalist on TV is way more offensive than Don holding up a sign with the N-word on it.
CNN: Trololololololol
Someone put CNN put of it's misery.
I think Lemon's point was to bring the issue of race out in the open for a serious discussion. It wasn't to "troll."
