Nowhere is Jerry's dwindling health and "tired" look more apparent than in many of these late videos. Pleasing to see yet sad to watch. We are very lucky he had Bobby as a best friend. Somewhere along the way the roles changed from mentor to mented if that makes sense. Listen to the crowd loving this…….i was included. I didnt care what it sounded like and can hardly remember most of the shows i went to, its all a blur for the most part. I did however LOVE the music, LOVED the people, i felt accepted and popular at shows. From 89 to 95 i had purpose and dedication, Grateful Dedication.
This run and this night was my wife and I's first date…..3 Dead shows and a Pats game. First date yet I knew it was love as I missed a huge chunk of Terrapin and was not bothered a bit…….she had my undivided attention and those that know me know she obviously was the one and as we are still running 4 kids and a grandchild later……have been able to see my oldest share the stage with many I chased for years….signed one of the luckiest, fulfilled heads on this giant ball of dirt we play on. As you were Peace!
I was at this show. Took a youngster from work (I was all of 28, he was 8 or 10 years younger) to this, his first show. I remember telling him how lucky he was to have a terrapin at his first show! Jerry was so "on" that night. I am so surprised with the clarity watching this brings that night back to me…
Stella Blue and So many roads, Hymns to a dyin' whinin' boy.
God Bless The Grateful Dead!

can i get some feedback on that scarlet/fire transition? that might be the best ive ever heard. They really bring it down when Fire gets going
Best show of '94 and an overall fantastic post-Brent show.
