MY TWO FAVORITE DEAD STARTERS ONE AFTER ANOTHER! What did I do that karma beset me with such treasures! Today I listen to entire shows because I like either Bertha or Jack Straw as the opener. Actually, if these openers kick ass, the rest will, as well. That's my experience, and I'm sticking with it. BTW, it's everyone's duty to let the next generation know that if they don't know the Dead, they don't know shit! Don't want people to forget this world here. It wasn't a band as much as a nonviolent revolution of joy.

The Enlightened Year of 1990…When The Grateful Dead scooped up my 18 year old ass & helped me see the Light in The Strangest of Places when I looked at it Right!!!
The Band was in this Beautiful Bubble where The Older Heads shared the BLISS with us "Newbies"! The Summer 1990 tour inspired my life Forever & I'll Always Grateful.
Saw Brent's last show & I got Shocked on how easy That Bubble could Burst. Well, Deer Creek Indiana July 2nd 1995 I saw the Bubble BURST by Those who didn't, or were too STUPID to realize how fragile it All WAS!!!! I pushed a few back over the fences they crashed! I saw that these weren't TRUE GD MUSIC FANS!!! They were DRUNK, SPOILED ASSHOLES!!
I was in the best shape of my life & I just wished I would have dropped my Peace Symbol & knocked out some of the teeth of the HOLES who helped ruin An American Dream!!!! At least I was a small, peaceful member of the Dead Dream. I know I didn't help kill it.

Twenty five years ago today I was blessed with 16th row floor tickets directly in line with Jerry. The rest is history. Twenty five years later it totally stands the test of time. As it will twenty five years from now. And every year thereafter. Improvisation at its finest from a band that was going thru a musical renaissance and with a guest artist that to this day it is still unfathomable that they had never either played or rehearsed with each other before this absolute gem of a show. This was IMHO as a jaw dropping melt your face performance as they could muster in the modern era. Long Live 3/29/90!

That Eyes of the World is justtoo good man. 8/6/74 is good, Englishtown is good, but for me this one is in a league of its own.

Hey, big drug addicted shit-bag…get some help…you have less than five years left. Get your fat ass back in Rehab, and stop being a dick. Bobby sucks and can't carry the band if you die. Get it together, you sound like shit

I was at this show, the anticipation ofnot knowing who the extra mic on the stage was set up for,…right from the opener, the entire band just ripped this night.Caught some great shows Spring 89 -> 90 run. Good energy during these Nassau shows, the mixes were spot on and Brent's vocals were haunting through the entire tour. Branford was a treat to see.

Next to Blossom 85 this is the recording I have played more than any other show with the greatest enjoyment and appreciation of their incredible talents, raw exuberance, and abilities to improvise without reference to set lists, arrangements, or even rehearsals. This sadly, marked the last year in which Brent would bring his awesome gifts to the magical mix. They were truly at a pinnacle here though few of us realized it at the time.

Goodness me but they were truly the greatest band on the planet when they were on. It has been far too long since I sat back and listened to an entire album and I couldn't have chosen a better one. Was fortunate to have been at this show along with many of the 90's dates – truly a magic time. Go out and buy the album folks!

The great thing about the Bird Song is that Branford had the melody and changes down after the first verse. In the solo, him and Jerry swapped licks and played off each other like they played together for years. JG was ear to ear. What pros
