I put this on for my dog one day to keep em company while i was at work. Forgot my something or other, spun around and headed back and when i walked in, he was doin a fire circle with all the neighborhood hounds. I was late for work that day. Was crazy, man.

I was there in 74 as the Capital Center photographer.I was 21 years old. The guy I worked for hated rock concerts so I got to shoot them all. They used to have a barrier set up between the stage and the crowd, which I would stand in front of. The speakers were so loud that I would go home with my ears ringing. Even today my ears have a constant ringing from shooting every concert for 2 years. It was worth it. The dead had their wall of sound speaker setup and you could hear every brush of s finger on the guitar strings. It was one of the best concerts i ever saw. Just amazing.

i love Keith's dripping keyboards on To Lay Me Down. The way these guys are able to to create slow motion, mind melting, beauty…. Might as well count the angels dancing on a pin.

74 wall of sound sound sounds nasally :) two mics out of sync to counter feedback from wall behind. i saw them several times in 74 up close and personal :)

Listen to the jam( in the right frame of mind ) going into drums: 06/14/85. pure ecstatical mind-bending genius. I still hear it, and it's been 30 years. The Grateful Dead are Monet, Van Gogh, and Pure 25 all rolled into one… Never before, and never will be again.

The serious funk starts in on Sugaree…
It's been said this was a remarkable show. I agree. And with modern technology we can get clear recordings and my DT 770 Pro headphones the music is sublime as ever
