I can still here the opening song of Monday Night Football and Frank's voice among all 3 voices. Ah the memories of staying up late on a school night just to hear that opening song and the hype that went with it. Rest in peace Frank.

NEW YORK — Jack Nicholson said Sunday that he "warned" NFL Hall of Famer Frank Gifford.
The 78-year-old Oscar winner was dining at the Wolseley restaurant in London when a photographer told him about Gifford's death.
After saying, "That's awful," Jack added “I warned him," but refused to elaborate.

For the sake of football, let us pray Frank Gifford just called a play in a "hurry up huddle" in Heaven, and they're waiting on the 11th man: John Madden. For the sake of football.

Rest In Peace Frank Gifford, from football fans everywhere. Might I just also mention that the team you like holds no weight in this. You do not have to be a fan of the Giants to appreciate him, and mentioning your team is basically making it about your team, when we should all be celebrating his life and his memorable hall of fame career.

Godspeed Mr Gifford, I believe you had a positive impact on the world throughout your broadcasting career, and will miss your very intelligent analysis of NFL play and strategy.

What a terrible way to start a new football season. Great memories of Al, Frank and Dan on MNF back in the 80's and 90's. My condolences to Kathie Lee and the kids. RIP Frank
