"integrity of the game?" You've got to be kidding me. Cap Anson, a vociferous racist and perhaps the single most pivotal player in the erection of the color barrier in baseball in the late 19th century, is in the Hall. Until they tear down this dirtbag's plaque, I don't think they can refuse anyone entrance based on their violation of the game's "integrity".

MLB has an official gambling site called Draft Kings. How can they stand on the morality of the game? When actual crime breakers are still in the game, where does MLB stand? Players break LAWS, right now. Pete broke rules

If the Hall of Fame was really based on character and integrity, a lot of players wouldn't be in it. Pete Rose is the greatest hitter ever, he deserves to be in

"A sport without integrity is not a sport?" We are talking about baseball, right? The same sport who looked the other way while people were juicing to keep the sport relevant? You have racists, perjurers, wife-beaters, assailants and God knows what else who are not only banned but celebrated. How dare you.

You wanna keep the ban on Pete Rose for legally enforced reasons, that's fine. But don't you dare cite as a pretext the integrity of the game. Give it a rest.

If baseball and the hall of fame was above reproach and pure as the driven snow, Pete Rose stays banished. That "what if" is La LA land of course. Baseball and the hall of fame is full of sinners as it were. Including sinners against the game. Pete Rose's continued banishment is the ultimate HYPOCRISY. Common sense dictates his reinstatement.

He should be eligible for the hall of fame he is the most successful hitter in MLB history, and his offense is really not that aggregeous. If the wife beating racist alcoholic ty cobb can be in the hall of fame pete rose definately should be.

There is NO reason that Pete Rose shouldn't be in the Hall of Fame. The gambling was obviously a problem. He's paid for it through the roof at this point, and it's time that MLB forgive him. If the MLB is going to turn a blind eye to steroids, which have harmed and damaged the game far more than gambling, then they need to let Rose back in. At the very least, put the hit king in the Hall.

I don't have any problem with him being banned from baseball for what he did as a manager, but that should have nothing to do with his being a Hall of Fame player. They're two different issues. They just happened to the same man.

If O.J. never got removed from the Hall then why can't Pete at least get in? I know it's different sports and O.J. murdering two people never had anything to do with football but Come The Fuck On…what is worse!
