Why aren't the fire departments using controlled burning as a preventative solution? It's ridiculous how dry the grass is. Common sense doesn't seem to prevail here. When I picked cherries at Sleepy Hollow last Saturday, I was stunned at how dry the brush was. I committed in my mind to contact Inslee but it seems the fire beat me to it. Still sent off the email regardless. With the pot tax there should be more than enough money to supply fire departments what we need to be safe. I'm tired of these holocausts that are exacerbated by neglect, apathy, and outright stupidity. What the hell…. will the city, state and federal government still be retarded when it comes to protecting our communities and natural resources? If our elected leaders are too dense to figure it out, perhaps we should look to pay others who are willing to goddamn do something rather than stick their heads in the sand. It's called fire planning. July and August have arrived. Early. And our fire departments are caught with their pants down,,, once again.
