Going to be 18 in 5 days. First time in my life im not excited for my birth day. I feel so lonely now more that i ever had. Its songs like this, that take me back to the times of innocence and peace. No worries, just what i was doing that day, or having for dinner. I remember hanging out with all my neighbors kids, and going up the street to get pizza and hang out, and playing kick ball. I remember sitting in my room for endless hours playing with cars, watch old Nickelodeon shows. I remember always looking up to the older kids, wiching i was older. I remember playing in the woods, riding bikes, skateboards, and scooters everywhere. I remember jumping in my trampoline, and swimming in my pool. I remember waking up to my mom, my dad talking about what im going to do. I remmber wrestling with my dog, playing in the snow. AHH i could go on all day. its so sad the way time moves. but, i am grateful to embrace another day and hopefully embrace the childhood of my children. HERES TO CHILDHOOD!
I love Coldplay with all my heart. They're great. But Frank Oceans's version of this is just so freaking amazing… I prefer it over the original, which is rare. Can't stop listening
Coldplay's version of strawberry swing is wack after you listen to Frank's version. But hey!! Most people only have half the hearing and one track minds. The song speaks for it's self so fuck'em anyways..
You don't have to prefer this to original, opinions are opinions… but if you can't at least see the beauty in Frank's reinterpretation I don't know what to tell you.
I loved coldplay before I loved Frank ocean. Both are great! Ocean's taste is impeccable & he makes it his own. & ocean's cover is not karaoke. For it to be karaoke it would have to be same lyrics. He's a lyricist, hello. Love it! Two awesome artists. Who else looped this while cleaning? I just like the feel, that & it reminds me of hightop fades & 80's + 90's style. & oddly strawberry shortcake & wild cherry blossom lotion 2010.
