Wendy you're forgetting that there are younger Janet fans who aren't your age. I'm born in the 90's and only got into Janet Jackson during the mid 2000's. New music is what her younger fans need, we don't have the memories of her early stuff to enjoy a Vegas Residency. Plus you're forgetting her last album was number 1 and the lead single was top 20 on the billboard 100, it wasn't like she was releasing flop after flop! She can still recover!

Sorry but I agree with Wendy. As much I love Janet, she won't be able tomake a bigcomeback with Beyoncé and Rihanna around. It would be different if she were a powerhouse, but unfortunately she's never been that good of a singer. I do wish her the best though. I'll still buy it.

Am I the only one that thinks Taylor Swift is overrated?? I mean she makes catchy songs, but her voice is a hair above average, and she doesn't really dance. I guess she is just marketable by being a tall, skinny white girl with blonde hair who middle America teens and kids can relate to. Smh though, the music industry has one foot in the grave.
I love and respect Wendy, but it bothers me that she's all about facts, but conveniently leaves out that Damita Jo, 20 yo, and even Discipline were platinum albums, even tho Janet was being blacklisted by radio, and video stations. They received no commercial support from them or Virgin or Def Jam records, for fear of being blacklisted themselves! That was a HUGE REASON the albums didn't sell. No radio support no commercial support no video support. Even with the blacklisting, Janet's career continued were it surely would've ended Rihanna's Jennifer Lopez's Britney's or any other lady she compares Janet 2. And Damita Jo sold about 4 million world wide, 20 yo 2 million worldwide, and Discipline 1 million worldwide. Not bad for a chick receiving no support from the industry! I'm just sayin.
