    I almost didn't watch this, but so glad I did, It had me in tears when he spoke of his son, I lost two of my sons within 2 years, who knew Christ as their Saviour, the first was killed in a head on car crash and crushed to death, He loved the Lord but fought an off and on addiction problem for many years, we practiced tough love with him also, my other son had rededicated his life to Christ on Sunday and was killed in a hit and run accident on Friday, , Gods grace brought me through the painful lose of two beautiful sons and they knew Gods love and Gods mercy, I am so grateful that Gods grace and mercy are sufficient to bring me through any battle I may face, Gods Word is powerful , His love is amazing and I am grateful that His law brought me full circle to His Amazing Grace, May God bless this ministry

    "The demand maker becamea demand keeper and died for me a demand breaker – That's the Gospel"
    "The law doesn't get smaller – God's not just saying squeamishly, "I know your a sinner and I know you're kind of messed up – you know, you're trying – good job – I'll side step some of the faults and stupid words – cause you're really trying and I see you're trying" – That's not what God says. A high view of the Law equals a high view of Grace. A low view of the law equals a low view of grace. That's cheap law vs. free grace."

    Little law vs big Gospel – Big L (Law) vs little l (Law) – Big L Law – outlined in the 10 commandments and is summarized by Jesus as "Love God and neighbor" – Little "l" law is different – "Law with a small "l" is any voice that makes us feel we must do something or be something to merit the approval of another. In the Bible the law comes from God. In daily living – law is an internalized principal of self-accusation. We might even say that the innumerable laws that we carry inside us are bastard children of the capital "L" law."

    We do our best. We slip into self-salvation mode. "If I just do better; lose weight, listen more, etc. maybe I can appease the judge" Within the prison of these ruthless musts and demands comes God's 2nd word – Grace. "The demand maker becamea demand keeper and died for me a demand breaker – That's the Gospel"

    Just like looking frantically looking for keys that are in your pocket or glasses that are on your head, we spend our loves frantically looking for what we already have. The Gospel is God's good word to sinners like you and me. The keys are in your pocket.Everything you need in Christ you have. All the approval – all the justification – all the worth – all the value – all the significance and security that youcrave – that you spend your life looking for in things – in people – in places – infinitely smaller than Jesus – are yours because of what Jesus has done for you.

    Jesus came to liberate us from the force of trying to fix ourselves. He came to rescue us from the enslaving need to be right and respected. He came to relieve us of the burden we feel to win. This means you don't have to change your kids or spouse to matter. You don't have to get good grades to secure your own worth. You don't have to be a success to justify your existence. The Gospel is good news to those who have been crushed by the laws demands – both external and internal demands. It announces to failing people that God's grace is gratuitous – His love is promiscuous – And while our sin reaches far – His Mercy reaches farther. That because Jesus won for you – your are free to lose. That because Jesus succeeded for your – you're free to fail. That means in the context of your failure – if you're in Christ – there is therefore no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Because Jesus was strong for you – you're free to be weak.

    Take that in context of your relationships. James asks, "What causes fights and quarrels among you? Is it not you think you are entitled to something from someone else and you're not getting it.

    Romans 8:31-37

    God’s Everlasting Love
    What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies.Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?As it is written:
    “For Your sake we are killed all day long;
    We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”
    Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come,nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

    Free from the law—oh, happy condition!
    Jesus hath bled, and there is remission;
    Cursed by the law and bruised by the fall,
    Christ hath redeemed us once for all.

    Once for all—oh, sinner, receive it;
    Once for all—oh, doubter, believe it;
    Cling to the cross, the burden will fall,
    Christ hath redeemed us once for all.

    There on the cross your burden upbearing,
    Thorns on His brow your Savior is wearing;
    Never again your sin need appall,
    You have been pardoned once for all.

    Now we are free—there’s no condemnation;
    Jesus provides a perfect salvation:
    “Come unto Me,” oh, hear His sweet call,
    Come, and He saves us once for all.

    Done deal – payed in full.

    If onlyDr. Kennedy, preached this kind of message instead of preaching from the Declaration of Independence, that church would have been so much better off! Tullian is DEFINITELY notAntinomianism. Those who say he is, is not listening to him!

    Where does it say in God's word that it's OK to insult people? Dr. Kennedy, and more importantly, Jesus, never condoned that behavior. Now with that said, please explain what it is that Pastor Tchividjian said that you have problems with.
