There is probably only two reasons why the Shark didn't actually bite him. 1) Baby Sharks hunt near beaches because they don't have the capabilities to hunt seals yet. 2) The electric charge being admitted from the two jet skis and and boat scared it away.

In short, some think that the shark is a representation of a beast. A beast that will rise and start the End of the World. Not an end like in the movies where everything turns to chaos with tsunamis and earthquakes and shit, but an end more like wars, ilnesses, extermination of races, and growing hatred amongst groups of people (whites vs blacks, civilians vs police brutality, heteroes vs gays, christians vs muslims vs jews, etc)
And it's not just with sharks. Animals of all kind have been acting strange in the last two years. Countless cases have been recorded of ferrets attacking, squirrels attacking, snakes attacking, cows attacking, crows attacking, cats and dogs attacking . . . all attacking humans that were doing no harm to them. It's like animals are getting violent for some strange reason. It's like they detect something that we can't.
It never ceases to amaze me how the news reports are like 'SOMEONE ON A SURF BOARD WAS ATTACKED BY A SHARK!!!' … 'SHARK ATTACKS MAN !!!' … 'MANEATER ATTACKS SURFER !!!' … it's just a hungry shark … and you're on the menu.
It was in Jeffery's Bay, South Africa. This is the place with the highest Great White population. Cage diving (for seeing sharks) is a very popular tourist thing there. So lucky to come away from that unharmed.
