People are complaining yet I think she still did well considering she's been working her butt off all year. She's not at her absolute best here I agree, but she still gave a passionate performance. She had to do her album promo Sept. – Nov. of last year, then Cats from December – February. Right after Cats, she flew to do shows in India, Philippines and Italy. After that she flew back to LA, back into the studio for album rework then had to film 6 weeks straight for her new show on NBC. They had just finished filming the season finale the night before and she flew straight to sound check in the UK for this show. A bunch of people were complaining she wasn't in costume – well Grizabella's makeup takes about an hour itself to be put on, not including the wig and costume. Any normal person would be exhausted but Nicole still gave it everything she had into that performance.
I still think she should've won. I managed to see her twice and once was really up close and personal and the other time was right at the back of the theatre. Either way, she brought tears to my eyes with the energy in that room. She is a bloody amazing talent; she deserved that Olivier.
Ok, she blows the roof off at 3:41 – 3:50 and it gave me the chills. Literally. But it just goes to show how good Elaine, Betty, and Barbra are in this song. I still love her performance here, and her interpretation, but it's still a notch below in the overall efforts of my favorite 3. Hats off to Nicole because she really is a phenomenal singer. Way underrated. She's much more talented in this genre than her pop crap.

saw cats in january with nicole as grizabella and it was absolutely astounding. the audience just about lost their damn mind, and rightly so.
people are always so critical of her because of her past but i think she is doing really well! Excellent even….
