Considering I actually am American, I think I'd know what Americans are like. Everyone has a list of ethnicities. Usually some combination of English, Italian, German, Irish, Scandinavian, etc. These are separate ethnic groups.

Born converted from Judaism amid anti-Semitism in Germany to marry a Christian (though she was also of JEWISH descent). Religion has nothing to do with ethnicity; Olivia's mother MAY have been a Christian.That doesn't change ancestry. And Olivia herself is certainly not a practicing Christian.
