"I play Smash Bros. to NOT do combos!" Isn't that the main point..? So you can rack up damage and K.O. your opponent..?

Guys, when I said "I play Smash Bros NOT to do combos," I meant to not do complex button patterns. That's all. I love doing combos in Smash Bros. Sorry for the misunderstanding! X'D

Just played and practiced with him for a while, Ryu is definitely NOT top tier! I say he's mid-tier at least, in my opinion. He does have problems and bad match ups with zoners like Toon Link. His in-close fighting options are limited when you're on the receiving end. Ryu has no ground attacks that you can attack behind him. Because of his highly technical input command are in place for Ryu, you'll may accidentally do alot of mis-inputs and perform wrong attacks, which can cost you a stock or the game. But, applying those input commands are important since it does more damage and knockback than the simple B commands. Learning to practice the control the button pressure from tapping or holding the button for the attacks you want is important for Ryu. His Focus Attack and parrying is also useful as well.
