kevin i will tell you this can you get games between the giants vs redskins from the from the early 80's til the early 90's from giants stadium and rfk.same with cardinals,cowboys and eagles vs redskins including playoff games.
The Niiners really were arrogant in this time frame, they thought this would be a tougher game than any potential Championship matchup with the Giants or bears…they lost to the Giants.
Two years later they dismissed the Cowboys as "A good team, but we're looking forward to moving on", they lost decisively.
Contrast that to 93 when THEY were disrespected in the press when Jimmy Johnson GUARANTEED victory over them, they took it so personally they picked fights in pregame warmups and got their butt handed to them in a blow out to Dallas.
Interesting how Harry Sydney was getting more touches early. Could that be because a certain RB who wears #33 was washed up (and should have been traded before that season)?
Several observations from watching these old Niner games, as an old Niner fan myself-
We were spoiled for 25 years with 2 HOF QBs in Montana and Young and a 3 time pro bowler in Jeff Garcia. For the past 12 years we have had to endure Cody Pickett, JT OSullivan, Ken Dorsey, Shaun Hill, Tim Rattay, Alex Smith, and Colin Krappernick.
Why was Darryl Pollard starting? The guy was a liability. He either got burned deep, or committed a penalty. Seifert must have had personal issues with Tim McKyer to start Pollard over him.
